Analysis of DJ Magazine Front cover, Contents page and D.P.S.
Image:

and clubbing magazine.' The colour scheme consists of white, black and red. The main picture takes up a whole page to show the importance of he artist and this artist also represents the genre that this article is going to be about which is Dubstep. The picture also has quote from the article to grab the attention of the reader. The shot type of the picture is mid framing and an angle of eye level. The header provides the general information about the article. The language is a mix of formal and informal because the target audiences for this genre are teenagers and young adults. The article also contains two other pictures both are logos of famous Dubstep artists; Knife Party and Nero, who are mentioned in the article. The article is written in 3rd person as most articles are.

Class Analysis of Usher front page in "Vibe" magazine
Front Page

High key lighting emphasis star quality, expensive accessories. The masthead: the star is placed in front of the masthead, this tells us that he is important and that the brand is well known. Main cover line anchors the picture and is large, the other cover lines are telling us what else is in the magazine. Has a 'plus' as a puff. Skyline gives names of artists to appeal to other people as well. QR code, barcode and the website. Direct address. Usher is written with lowercase to advertise his brand. Colour scheme: black/yellow/blue. Font san-serif, consistently used.
